In children with immature bones, injuries to the cruciate ligaments in the knee are rare. The cruciate ligament injury in children with an open growth plate mainly occurs in the form of an avulsion fracture rather than a substance tear of the cruciate ligament, because the elasticity and strength of the ligament are relatively stronger than that of the surrounding bone and epiphysis. Concurrent avulsion fractures of anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments in children and reports in english medical literatures are extremely rare. The authors treated a case of avulsion fractures of the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments at the tibia attachment in an eleven-year-old male. We treated the avulsion fracture of the anterior cruciate ligament with arthroscopic reduction and transepiphyseal pull-out sutures to prevent growth plate injury. The avulsion fracture of the posterior cruciate ligament was treated conservatively. The results were good, and we report it with literature reviews
